The Elora Writers’ Festival has announced the lineup for its annual afternoon of readings, this year set for Sunday, June 6.
Barry Dempster of Holland Landing, Ont., an author of a novel, a children’s book, short stories and 10 collections of poetry.
Bonnie Burnard of London, Ont., winner of the 1999 Giller prize for her novel, A Good House and author of Suddenly, a novel published in 2009.
Ray Robertson of Toronto, an essayist and author of six novels including What Happened Later and his most recent book, David.
Linden MacIntyre of Toronto, a CBC broadcaster and author of The Bishop’s Man, winner of the Scotiabank Giller Prize for 2009.
Terry Fallis of Toronto, a writer and public relations consultant. His self-published debut novel The Best Laid Plans was winner of the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour in 2008.
Pasha Malla of Toronto, author of the short story collection, The Withdrawal Method.
The festival takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. at Heritage River, a retirement community at 25 Wellington Dr., Elora.
